Speckled Sussex
We love the beautiful feather color of these sweet dual purpose heritage birds. Its been about a decade since we have owned any so when we had the opportunity to purchase some from an APA judge we decided to get back into them. These are heritage lines, not to be confused with the hatchery quality production Sussex. The Speckled Sussex are an old English breed were admitted into the Standard in 1914. Weights are 7 lbs for hens and 9lbs for Cocks. They are gentle birds which are great layers and good for families. Please note, we do not have a lot of hens for 2026 so only limited amounts of chicks each week.
