Mottled Houdans
One of our daughters decided she would like show this breed so we decided to start a flock a few years ago and we are finally at the point that we can sell some extras. The hens are curious and cute with their lovely crests. They are generous layers of crisp white eggs. They get along with other breeds and/or do well in their own group. The males are serious protectors and keep a keen eye on the overhead predators. They love free ranging and eating bugs and worms.
Nature: Alert, quick, Excellent foragers, smart, spunky
Egg Color: White
Eggs per year: 265 plus
Winter Hardy: I’d say medium only because I have only kept them in fairly warm coops over winter. Not afraid to be outside in the the snow
