Mauve Ameraucana
This ameraucana group is a fun backyard pen for us. They are derived from chocolate, blue and splash ameraucana. This group is sweet and they love being outside foraging for bugs and free ranging. Hens weigh 5.5 pounds and Males weigh 6.5 pounds.
Ameraucana can tolerate a wide range of climates and are suited to the cold with their pea combs. They have lovely beards and muffs. I find them to be friendly, inquisitive and great foragers. Males are strong protectors of their flocks making sure everyone is alerted at any sign of danger. We also raise, chocolate, bbs and isabel ameraucana.
