Exhibition Magpie Ducks
The Magpie duck ancestry isn’t fully known but they were bred after the first World War. Bred in Wales by M.C. Gower-Williams and in Yorkshire by Oliver Drake. They were first imported to the USA in 1963 and have been bred by dedicated breeders ever since. Magpie ducks are part of the light class of ducks and were admitted to the American Standard of Perfection in 1977. Males are around 5 pounds and females are around 4 pounds. Our ducks were imported from Don Roscoe from Minnesota. We won’t be offering eggs as we will be raising these for show but may offer some breeding pairs in the future.
