If you know me, you know I love the partridge birds so it just made sense to make blue partridge cochin. I love these docile birds and of course the very challenging penciling gene. (love hate relationship with that gene) This project has taken me 5 years and there are always things to improve. I have hatched out thousands of chicks to create these birds. Projects take a tremendous amount of space, dollars and time to select breeding birds. My current pen has blue males over partridge and blue partridge females. (blue genetics apply) Later this spring/summer, I will add a blue only pen when my splash males are mature enough to breed with contiguous victory!
