Chocolate Splash Ameraucana
New for 2026! The Ameraucana were derived from the Araucana in the United States and have lovely beards and muffs. Ameraucana can tolerate a wide range of climates and are suited to the cold with their pea combs. I find them to be tough and I love their shell color. Hens weigh 5 pounds and Males weigh 6 pounds. Some of my lines are very laid back and are huge so I have butchered them for the freezer with great success.
I find them to be friendly, inquisitive and great foragers. Males are strong protectors of their flocks making sure everyone is alerted at any sign of danger. The chocolate splash are sweet and they are similar to the regular splash except the splash feathers are replaced with chocolate feathers. We also raise, chocolate, mauve, blacks, bbs and isabel ameraucana.
