Sarplaninac LDG
The Sar is a fairly large Macedonian Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD). We were looking for an LGD breed that would stay home and protect our many flocks and farm. We have had Great Pyrenees and Maremma over the years but this breed is hands down the best breed we have ever used on this farm. Even when it is -40 they are out working as their double coat keeps them warm. The Sarplaninac are intelligent protectors, reliable and highly devoted to their job, people and their farm. We live on a busy highway and they stay off the road and stay at home. We currently have a litter available for forever homes on Feb 18/22.
